It seems incredible to go from seering and dry 47C (110F+) to rain and cool night breezes! September here is normally still hot, but who knows if we'll get another heat wave. Summer isn't over, but it's on it's way out. I'll miss it, it's our first enjoyable Summer here. I'll be squeezing every moment out of it that I can... before embracing my favourite season.
So, it's been a tough week. I needed these joys to look back on.

Lovely joy pockets Mon. Was so pleased to do my own this week for the first time ever. Roof-top dining sounds divine. I "think" I stopped Word verification on my blog. Check and see! Didn't realize it was such an annoyance to so many.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great session of joy pockets. It has been rather cooler here this week(thankfully), but I too am going to miss the summer. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo!!
ReplyDeleteI've yet to try roof-top dining. Someday I'll get to try it. :)
I love when my little ones draw on their own. It's so fun to see where their imaginations take them.
These posts are always so lovely. I have to agree with you on the word verification. I see more and more bloggers getting rid of it and that makes me breathe a sigh of relief. I really hate typing in things like "dbuenskeg" just to leave a comment!
ReplyDeleteI will have to go checkout your new pinboard!! And rooftop dining sounds perfect. Painting wood? for art? or just house touch ups? I'm hoping for art so that we can see :).
ReplyDeleteAnd a lovely weekend to you friend!
I can totally relate to you squeezing out the last moments of summer although here it still hasn't rained. The nights are a bit cooler but the days still searing hot.
ReplyDeleteRoof-top dining sounds wonderful as does spotting a squirrel.
Have a great weekend.
Glad I could contribute a little bit of joy this week. I love that photo...
ReplyDeleteRonnie xo
What better way to drink in the final days of summer than by doing a bit of a rooftop dining? Anything and everything is bearable with shoulders to lean on, too. I hope next week is heat wave free and filled with even more joy than this one!
ReplyDeleteend of the week and exhausted... love that picture you use in this post particularly because a new book is one of my joy pocket this week;
ReplyDeleteand yes, I must check wether i have word verification or not...?
happy week end to you, xo sandra

I loved that squirrel spotting part of your joy pockets :) I adore squirrels! What book are you reading in the picture? I can identify the words 'Bartholomew' and 'knight' and if I try guessing with these clues, it looks like a historical romance :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's one stunning photograph! And one hefty looking book :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've had a tough week, but glad you've got friends to lean on. You know I'm here for you too, right?
Hooray for more people turning off word verification! That's what I like to hear!

your photograph is so inviting. it causes me to want, WANT to be that. my joy - my children home, eating cookie dough with them, feeling their smooth pennies run over by the trains, collecting acorns, touching rock shaped by the river.
